Is the chip at bottom left of this picture in a socket on your motherboard?

Hi, Dimiav.
I'm pretty sure your motherboard will only be able to see 137GB of that drive (128GiB), from the 2001 date of the BIOS.

Denniss has a patched version here, not yet confirmed that the patch works.

As usual, flash at your own risk. Please let us know whether it works.

I expect you understand that 4.50g is just the base Award BIOS product, which is then customised to the motherboard manufacturer's requirements with various goodies added, features disabled, etc. Different chipsets and motherboard features might use differing amounts and locations of CMOS ram for st...

You have the latest Acer BIOS (3A10). No mention of a 3A11 or 3A12 on Google.

I don't think that you can use the Phoenix BIOS parallel port BIOS recovery plug here.....
FlashBIOS offer a programming service, at a price.

"Award 4.50g" is too generic a description.
Check this link for a "typical" CMOS layout.

I have had a similar problem with putting a CD-RW/DVD combo drive into a Toshiba laptop. My solution was to put the drive into another (Fujitsu-Siemens) laptop that could see the drive, and run the utility there. The laptop drive should have a standard interface and you should be able to find an IDE...

Was it formatted /s ? It needs to be bootable, with no extra drivers. Then you need to add the BIOS .BIN file and AWDFLASH.EXE file. Boot from the floppy and use AWDFLASH as per the instructions for that version (/h should give you options).

Google search for "6M694X" turns up a reference to Kuriaki's site with a manufacturer of MIDA. Unfortunately, Kuriaki is incommunicado at present. Most MIDA hits from Google seem to be on Chinese sites. Google search for "694X-686B-6A6LJTRAC" turns up TopStar as manufacturer, so it looks as though t...
