Upgrade your processor to AMD K6/2 550 MHz and also your memory. Im using AMD K6/2 550 MHz processor and 256 MB PC-100 SDRAM using Jetway J-530 (SiS 530 based motherboard) and its running WinXP SP2. On-board video memory is 8MB I use.

I have an Abit VH6 with both IDE cannot detect hard drives. Is bios update necessary to fix the problem?

both boards have VIA chipsets. As for the latter, could this be a OCTEK RHINO P4X266A-A4P?

thnx for the reply. Both boards have a heatsink cover on its NB and SB chips so I cant see the number. But i assume its fro VIA but as for the specific number, I cant determine.

Now i know that the two motherboards came from PC Partner.
