Do you mean the cpu fan turn only a little then stopped? P4VMM2 has many jumpers to consider even switching sdr to ddr and vice versa. Please elaborate.

I have some additional infos:

1.) Clock gen IC is RTM360-516R and Super I/O is VT1211
2.) Southbridge is VT8235 (Northbridge is covered with heatsink)
3.) Third PCI slot has sticker PA31L A107
4.) Other stickers: 00012E0A6422, 9FA31662225T and P29-101-15A9
5.) 010Y13AA

a ran across one asus p4 s478 mboard that the downloaded bios file from asus site is 384kb! maybe i failed due to 256kb mboard bios system that I used to flash the 384/512 kb chips. Is the memory line has something to do with this? Just asking.

Is there any changes in bios hotflashing method when it deals with 384kb or 512kb? Im having difficulty hot flashing those bios at 384/512kb range.

Any other markings on the board, such as: 100Y13AA 200Y13AA 010Y13AA As KURIAKI says, some are OEM PcPartner boards, so you may have some luck with the PcPartner BIOS since the board isn't working anyway. There are 22 different BIOSes listed for the A31A... No i cant locate the said markings that y...

Maybe this explains why it is very hard to find these type of motherboard. But the PCB print says its 6XV71A. Many thanx. I will just wait for update if theres any.
