And some news from the asus NG Not quite the same, but my TX97-XE will work with a 64 MB PNY GF2 MX400. It will not however work with any 64 MB GF4 MX or any 64 MB Radeon 7500. The difference I could see between the the various 64 MB cards was that the GF2 MX400 had 8 8MB chips, the GF4 MXs had 4 16...

Hi all! I read in different NG (asus) and forums(ga586hx.de) that 64MB PCI graphiccard are not supported by some HX Boards (maybe other boards too). I heard also there is a Bug in the BiosCore, the Bios could not initialize the framebuffer. Or is this a problem with real hardware voltages, regulator...

I recived a MAil from a person who has Problems with this Bios and a this 120GB HDD.

So I send this to you (with your tool) and did the patch not by hand.

I will write him a mail and ask where is the problem.

What does the Bios, the DMI Part, if the CPU is unknown there?
nothing or still hangs?

Sometimes it is also a good choid to disable "SystemBios cachable" ... so for the GA586HX with a fast (>233MHz) processor installed.

use Bios Version 1014beta3 is the last one support HDD up to 128GB and Processors up to 1400 MhZ (with a Voltage Adapter)

maybe there is some "free" space in the Bios which is not so free is it helpfull to know that in this case the Bios crashed in Standard Setup after printing the 2nd HDD Line. The rest of the screen was filled purple. Numlock works but nothing else. My ugly fix works ( i removed only one of the 64GB ...

it works ... showing the wrong sizes but works
