Socket 370 Gateway LC2 ??? model 601M-24AGM Rev mp1.0
This board I think is referenced here http://www.fcc.gov/Bureaus/Common_Carrier/Public_Notices/Part68_Actions/2001/g2kfeb23.txt It is a gateway (not Gateway 2000) LC2PC I think but this seems to be a nothing board and a non-existant manufacturer if it is true. model: 601M-24AGM Rev mp1.0 PCB No: BA4...

Oops, I failed to mention that, YES it definately is a laptop That is why I wanted to double check it had a low voltage socket 7 interface as opposed to that MMC stuff before I break the case to get the heatsync and cpu out. I will be going home this weekend and I could run that proggy on it, but I'...

Everex Stepnote SE p166mmx, looks like it has a socket 7 but
can't seem to remove all the heatsyncs and other garbage easily to find out for certain and the internet is seemingly worthless as Everex is dead. Anyway, I am wondering if anyone knows if this indeed has a socket 7 low voltage interface and if I could put a low voltage p266mmx in it or maybe a lapp...

so3 Bios is found :)
ftp://www.omnitechcorp.com/pub/mba/ This site is WORTH archiving as it has a LOT of Micronics motherboard bios's including unofficial and beta ones as well and my problem is fixed. But a word of warning, I own Omnitech PCs and am entitled to use the site because I am a customer. I believe that if yo...

It locks before the date is shown, the video bios pops up and then about 2 lines of the regular bios show CPU = then it locks without the bottom half showing. I will have to see if anyone locally has a PII 233 cpu so I can test this board and possibly flash the bios chip. There is an EPROM burner he...

AZZA PT-6IFB issues
I have an old AZZA PT-6IFB PII motherboard that supports PII 233-333 according to the manual. It also says supports voltages of 1.8v and up. I only have a PII 350Mhz processor and a Celeron 400Mhz processor on a sloket. The PII 350 should work as the board supports the voltage yet when I try it lock...

My suggestion is return the board if you can, if not you can either 1. Run the chip stable at 1150. 2. Buy a normal Athlon T-Bird 1400Mhz 3. Although the m810lmr rev 5 isn't fully compatible with XP chips, it can run them with a 100Mhz bus. If you are fairly knowlegable you can cut and pencil in bri...

Not quite
2.5v can drive a k6-2 but this motherboard doesn't have an adequate power plane to handle the chip at 2.5v. I put a gigantic heatsync on the linear voltage reg and it still super heats with a k6-2 installed, if I left it on 15-20 minutes it would blow up

Thanx for that site, i got my question answered quickly
But now I am wondering what could cause a motherboard to run completely stable, boot and everything but lock whenever I go into the bios?
Perhaps I will never know, the board works well in windows 98 but I can't enter the bios without it locking.
Oh well

Thanx
Ryan
