Assuming you have everything on the boot disk... no autoexec or config.sys. Try booting and at the prompt enter the flash pgm with a /? to view the parms info. Now if you can't figure out how do it from there get someone to help.

Not to worry... if the id changes that's all you need to worry about. It could be the release date or the base date or have some other meaning. Only the bios programmer knows for sure.

Do as AJZ recomends.... plus if you look around the various OEM sites they give instructions on "How to Update.... Here's when PC Chips fail.

Well in your case I started with the bios string 61-0304-000747-00101111-071595-M747 I went to www.google.com and searched for M747 and the first hit point to good old PC Chips as I suspected. You will find that PC Chips makes boards for damm near everyone. You will also find that their service suck...

Not sure that this will fix the problen though. You may have to disable the onboard video (if possible) and add it a card. Remeber to set your video to std vga before disable and updating the video card.

CMOS Checksum or BIOS checksum.... they are different. What ver of the bios doe you have? Look at the lower left corner of the screen at boot. The latest I see is id 56.
