Re: awdbedit fails
you should use modbin for that purpose. there are two versions out there: one for core v6 and one for core v4 bios files.

Re: Motherboard schematic
well, the answer isn't a simple yes or no. if you still have the board up and running with its original bios, you can extract a lot of information from the running board without having access the the actual schematics. to the extend a lot of manufacturers used the chipset maker's advice on motherboa...

patching in the new SIL rom is possible.
just 2 more questions:
1. which kind of bios do you need? RAID or IDE? (check here for a description)
2. which version do you need? check the above link and report back with the version you want.

Re: Foxconn 915M07C-G-6LS BIOS
I have one question. Could this motherboard stop while the BIOS will be updating ? yes. you really need to find the source of the problem. the BIOS is very likely not the source. you should run the board with something like memtest86, mersienne prime and some linux live-cd to find out if it's hardw...

Re: What flasher's options I must set?
unpack the SiS video driver to a directory on your harddisk. uninstall the SiS video driver, make a clean reboot right after that. once booted up again, point the Windows driver installation to the directory containing the unpacked SiS video driver. This will leave you with a driver installation wit...

Re: Patched bios, installed driver, no widescreen?
1440x900 is the only resolution supported with a recent video BIOS. it's not that any of the SiS chips couldn't handle any other resolution. it's just that SiS really messed it up in their Windows driver (proof: there is a 3rd party linux driver which can set virtually any resolution with all availa...

Re: Tool to extract latest Intel microcode for bios modding
The P5VD1-X supports Pentium D 960. Since the Pentium D 965 EE is the same processor just with a higher core clock it should be supported by the latest BIOS.
Head over to ASUS and get the latest BIOS for your mainboard.
