Try to compare "o" and "y" versions. Unpack and check files 'original.tmp' and 'awardext.rom'.

Yes. I was compare by _code_, not by _data_.

And some new CPU-support subs.
Nothing changes in USB detect/initialize.

1. BIOS problem - try with another bios.
Try ANOTHER bios. To example - from this manufacturer, other models on like chipsets. Or another manufacturers. Best is - Acorp, PCPartner (on this chipset), Chaintech.

Usually generates problems not full knowledge, either as that do, but so - without differences. :)
For P1-P3 i recomended Uniflash or AMIflash.

They simply assured me the problem couldn't possibly be the Bios...
This CAN be a problem of bios in the FIRST place.

1. Get latest bios.
2. Try bios from another manufacturer on ALI5. I recommend from Acorp, to example - http://rom.by/bios/Acorp/5ALI61/V3.3_66.rar

OK...so how can we prove that the same "readings" will apply to the 694X?
It`s same manufacturer, same RAM-type. You can to сompare another registers...

I guess I mean how the registers should look when viewed with a utility such as WPCREDIT.
Mbit-tech read from SPD for each DIMM-module.
