He may be able to go beyond the 32GB limit. Someone has discovered the bug that is responsible for the 32GB limit, by adapting the bios you sent him, Rainbow MAY be able to solve your problem. If not, an add-in controller card from http://www.promise.com is the best way to tackle this without buying...

Maybe the original (now dead) video card somehow drained the CMOS battery? Usually these things last from five to ten years...
