Compared it to the original AIR 54TDP manual I have here: it is the same board. The bios you list is the latest version they ever published, according to the specs it should be able to handle 768MB of RAM (6 x 128MB sticks).

Well, you're in luck, this seems to be the first creative board with a valid Shuttle counterpart. Check the version of your board (it should be in print somewhere) and flash the appropriate bios (see the posting by Rainbow).

That OEM would not happen to be Creative I hope? So far I've been unable to find a bios for any of their boards...

Remove/detach everything but the floppy, the video card (the older one), one stick of memory, the CPU and your keyboard and try again to get into setup. It sounds as if something has given up, it may be the chipset or a stick of memory. What kind of memory are you using? AGP multiplier still at 1/2 ...

That is exactly what is written on page 15 of the manual including a picture WHERE to do that.

The thing about my method is that the person in question gets the proper manual for the board...

http://www.bootdisk.com has a special disk-image for bios flashing.

Make a disk with that, THEN put the autoexec, flasher and flash file on it. Your current flash-disk is not a bootable one.

Which P2BXA? revision? Manufactuer? This designation is used for may different boards, chances are you used the wrong bios...

Is there a sticker on the back-side of that video card? Any other type number printed on the card itself? FCC ID perhaps? I've battled with a Diamond Speedstar A50 and the sis reference drivers (it's also using the sis6326 chip). I reverted back to the latest version of the Diamond drivers for this ...
