Did you check the writing between the slots? Is it really 643E, 643EV or 643L? Please post your full BIOS ID and message, or back it up, zip and post it to me with subject "Wims BIOS Forum"

Have you tried the solutions in the FAQ?

If your BIOS chip is in a socket, like at bottom left of the picture here -
http://www.uac.co.jp/news/daily/031113_ ... x_te_l.jpg - you can get it re-programmed.

"Rainbow" patched for 32GiB bug (should work with 40GB drive) 2. "Rainbow" patched for 64GiB bug (ma...

I think you need to go back into Disk Management and see what physical drives and partitions are shown there. If the external drive first partition (old "C:") came up as "F:", there were probably other assignments already for D: and E: (maybe for CD, removable drive, etc). It would have been logical...

TYAN TIGER 100 V2.00.05 061320011100 AMI BIOSes of that date are not known to have the 32GB or 64GB limits. What BIOS are you using (please post the ...

Hi, Joker, sorry for the delay.
If the CD-ROM is being recognised and the jumper settings don't make any difference, I would suspect the cable. Have you tried plugging the drive into the primary controller?

Other avenues to try:
Using type User and setting 16 heads, what is the maximum no of cylinders & sectors you can set?

Download Seagate's Seatools for DOS utility and use option C to set reported capacity to 32GB. XP should still see the whole drive.

Oh, sorry - I missed that you were looking for 2.20 - I just knew that 2.07 works for a lot of stuff that older cbroms, for example 1.13, do not.
