The match that I found from a search engine points it to a Supergrace motherboard, Model SG-AKT133KMSSM3(B) And there is a BIOS link here for the bios: http://www.riascorp.com/pc_solutions/bios/95s10221.zip But the date is the same as the one you have. Could you double check your board for a similar...

That is not a common file type. But it most likely is a compiled resource (Ms C, C++/Borland C++).

MrBios/Unicore will run you about 50 bucks...plus shipping...
Badflash.com is another place...they charge 20 bucks, but you have to know where your bios is on the net so they can flash it.
Here's another from Rainbows site:

Try clearing the CMOS using the jumper. By default it should auto-detect the hard drives and only have a 1.44 installed.
Maybe that will help with the problem aswell. It either sounds like the Bios is write protected (in some way) or your simply using the wrong keys.

Manual:

http://ftp.gigabyte.com.tw/support/user_pdf/486vs8a.pdf

Gigabyte GA-486VS

Can't seem to find any evidence of a read jumper preventing writting to the BIOS or something...

Are the settings just not changing? Or do they go back to what they were after you reboot?

Its definately Trigem. Do a search for "00101111-071595-440lx-florida" and Trigem is the only results you'll come up with.

Question is, what system did this thing come out of? Its the only hope for finding which board it is...

Its just a label in a BIOS. Its not curcial to the operation of the computer. But it gives us a hard time IDing the board.

Did this board come out of an Emachines? If so, which model?

Unfortunately Edwin's links are dead because the Trigem site went offline months ago. If you can find what your looking for at the Emachines site, check out the back up of the Trigem Website on my FTP.
