This is the most the compaq technicians will know about your particular laptop. Perhaps an ASC may know how to fix this problem, but they probably end up just replacing the mobo.

What would have helped from the start is if it was mentioned that this is a laptop computer. These boards are propriatary so finding the original manufacturer is slim. Edwin: I'll be moving the image version of TH99 to my site soon. Tripod messaged me a couple of days ago saying that my site exceeded the size limits (I opened it back when space was unlimited...now its 20MB max)...
