perhaps a bios image of another card designed torun withthose specs would help but ive got no clue how to flash em

well, I guess since it works that there isnt any real prob; Ijust hope the "Bios Unknown" message also means no ESCD.
Anyhow, thx people this mobo now gives a disabled child a computer to learn and communicate with.

pcpartner's mvp3pro mobo says 256mb max sdram, im running it on 512mb!!! maybe VIA chipsets are better equipped for upgrades???? or is it the 2mbit bios that does it? i got a feeling since this mobo supports 512mb sdram and a 40gig hdd by default pcpartner doesn't talk much about bios versions 'cuz ...

I have a mobo with an Award bios that can see a max amount of 296mb double sided sdram.
What I need to know isif this is a bios limitation or chipset.
Also if it isa bios limitation,can it be rectified simular to HDD barriers.

ive found using with pci only mobosa pci floppy controller and graphics helps to boot in that scenario but i dont know if its pci or isa if there's isa slots avail also.
Built in graphics WONT work; PCI or ISA

Ok, the built in AGP doesnt work, floppy is dead as well asthe CDROM.
I tried a PCI graphics card but it didnt work either.
Does this mean my chances would be better if I use ISA video and floppy?

It appears that the official patch is in fact the upgradeto 4.51 over 4.50
I beleive 4.50 is the version my mobo recognises.
Is it possible to manipulate the v4.51pg to say 4.50 without downgrading to it?

Well, although I've used the correct jumpers, it swings 100-133 mhz on cold boot and 75-100 mhz with turbo mode deactivated before cold boot. This is a genuine intel 200mhz MMX processor lol. Clear the CMOS

I used UNIFLASH to clear CMOS before flashing.
Always I do turn power off for 20 seconds then boot.
putting a 4.51PG bios image over 4.50PG usually does the problem for me.

hope you didnt solder the memory chips directly cause that can damage them (heat or static discharge)

It works! 8) Only odd thing is the ESCD update function seems to be replaced by "unknown bios" text.
