Hi,
Does anyone know how we can let AMIBIOS 7 display an ACPI resume logo instead of the POST-screen or silent boot module when waking up from ACPI S4/SuspendToDisk/Hibernation?
(an example AMIBIOS 7.xx which enables this feature: K7S8X AMIBIOS from ASRock)

Yes, use either AMI flash or Uniflash to backup your current BIOS (please don't make a copy of the 'Boot Block only' with uniflash since this program seems to read just the first 8KB of the ROM which is in many cases not the complete Boot Block). Try to extract the Boot Block with AMI Deco(+) if AMI...

Hi,
Many Phoenix BIOS'ses seem to use the PGX-format (Phoenix GrfX).

Here can you download the utility BMP2PGX which converts standard bitmaps into PGX format.

Hi, Maybe it's an idea to insert just a nice graphic logo in your POST screen. If your BIOS displays the first POST screen in 640x480 VGA graphic mode then you're in many cases (so not ALL) able to insert a logo upto 640x480 pixels, 16 colors (a customized pallette allowed). Btw: note that sometimes...

Activate the animated boot screen feature in AMIBIOS 7.
Hi, What BIOS modules, or code should be required to let an AMIBIOS 7 (core date: 04/02/01 - CR:2003) based BIOS display an animated picture during POST (e.g. a GIF file or programmed POST progress bar)? The default module ID's for a few kinds of logo's are: ID: Module Name: Module Function: 0E; OEM...

Hi, Try reflashing your BIOS by forcing the Boot Block to perform BIOS update: 1. Copy a known working BIOS image for your board to a floppy and rename it to AMIBOOT.ROM . 2. Insert the floppy in your system's floppydrive. 3. Power on the system while holding CTRL+Home keys. Release the keys when yo...
