Hi Willy, I don't think you need an mrbios update to run the Spectra K6-2/400. The latest SY-5EA BIOS should do just fine. I've been patching BIOSes for added CPU support (mainly K6+) for the past few years. I will check the 541WUQ10 BIOS to see if it can be patched for the Winchip and report back.

This 400MHz CPU speed indication limit is just a cosmetic issue in this and a lot of other 1998 socket 7 BIOSes. De PC is actually running at 450MHz when you set it to 2x=6x 75MHz. For compleness sake, I've just uploaded a patch J.3 BIOS for the Tekram P5MVP3-A4 (2Mb)/-B4 to my k6plus page. Apart from K6+ support, it has IDE HDD support upto 128GB.

Hazeki, you only need this BIOS if you want to use a drive greater than 64GB, so you can stay with the official V1.15 BIOS for now.

I have patched the 0207-2 BIOS for the Asus T2P4 for full 128GB support.
It has been tested and works with IDE drives upto 120GB.
