The board is an Acorp 6LX/EX87. You most likely need to update your bios. You current BIOS, I suspect only supports upto 32GB.

The one page I found for this board (BIOS update) states a 128GB limit after the update. Please see the notes section:

Simply put. We need more information.

Motherboard:
CPU:

Have you made any adjustments in the BIOS to see if you can get the BIOS to recognize the processor? (i.e. tried using Optimal settings option?)

To clarify a little bit. The board is an OEM only board built specifically for Compaq. no ID possible.

The one thing I did note is the floppy light stays on the whole time its powered up. The Floppy cable is upside down. Also check to be sure the the keyboard and mouse are in the proper ports.I have never had a problem that I can remember when hooking the these cables up backwards. But this is a pos...

Its an OEM version of the Mitac 6513Wu motherboard.

Weird. I have that board listed as the Mitac 6110ZU/VA D7600-60004. Used in Brio BA600, Brio BAX, Vectra VEi8. Where did you get the ID from? Bios string matches BTW. It is av Advent 5480 DVD laptop. Are you sure its not a 4480 DVD laptop???? *Note* - Laptop boards are made specifically for a laptop maker with little or no way to trace the board back to the original manufacturer.
