This is an OEM vesion of the FIC AM37. To get back to the retail version is quite a chore to successfully do...

I am not sure if its soldered on or not, but the main problem is that its not an official ASUS bios because its an OEM bios for Sony. I would like to tweak and oc a little and see how far I can go with this board.
the new bios wont mean squat for overclocking if the multipliers were soldered or missing unless he mods the board.

ruelnov - Was that an HP board by chance?

For those who don't know me I am working on a support/help site for Compaq and HP computers. Having information availible to flash the OEM BIOS to retail versions would be a great addition to my site...

As KachiWachi stated you have to save the changes. When you boot the machice you should have been greeted with some form of message stating the amount of RAM has changed and to select an option to boot and another option to save changes...
