Re: dell service tag?

Re: Flash a dell with an intel bios? Truth or dare?

It looks as though the board uses a PLCC BIOS chip. If it is a socketed chip you can have a replacement programmed with the Intel BIOS file by services such as http://www.badflash.com/. If the chip is soldered to the motherboard, I think you're out of luck, other than going the dare route.

Hi K4 Are you saying that your board has nothing to do with the original post, but that you need help to ID? If so, I would suggest starting a "new topic" so that responses don't get mixed up, since these are different motherboards. Also, tell us how many PCI, ISA slots, dimms, what type of processo...

Re: identify my motherboard

As long as this is not from a branded system such as Compaq, Gateway, etc., there is a BIOS available at:

Re: identify my motherboard

Appears to be Biostar M5SAA, here is a link to the manual:
ftp://ftp.biostar-usa.com/manuals/M5SAA/M5SAAmanual.pdf
Also, M5SAA should be printed on the motherboard surface.

zztaproot is saying he can't even get back into the BIOS setup I believe. Any chance you can add a floppy drive that will allow you to boot up using a bootable disk?

Re: WHERE DO I GET A BIOS WITH THIS BIOS STRING

Appears to be the PcChips M810LR board, check this link:
http://www.pcchips.com.tw/M810LMR.html
The date in your post suggests a more recent BIOS than the one at the PcChips site - is there a reason you want to update?
