Check to see if there is a jumper on JP1 - if there is none, the CPU should be auto detected (although the manual says up to an 800 Duron with a Note: The frequencies listed were those known at time of publication). If you want to set manually, then install a jumper on the pins of JP1 and set the mu...

Download, install and run Everest Home Edition - this will tell you what CPU you have, as wll as all the hardware and software you have in your system. The E3 refers to the Stepping of your CPU - there are several Semprons with E3 stepping. Here is the link: http://www.lavalys.hu/products/overview.p...

My own experience with Western Digital drives is that if it is the only drive on the IDE controller, it should be set to "Cable Select" as well - so, if you don't have another drive connected to the ribbon cable, set the jumper on the drive for CS (Cable Select).

RE: Not sure of corresponding bios upgrade
This appears to be an Abit NF7-S, compare with this image: http://www.abit-usa.com/images/products/NF7_S_large.jpg BIOS can be downloaded here (caution, there are versions 1.x and 2.0 of this board): http://www.abit-usa.com/downloads/bios/bios_revision.php?categories=1&model=6 Also, there is an NF7 ...

Re: ALi M1489/1487 chipset - unknown mobo
To the right of the CPU socket there is a small round sticker with the number 3 printed on it. What is the full number on the edge of the board above the sticker that ends with F-3.00?

Re: Shuttle FN85 BIOS Update
The BIOS can be downloaded here:
http://global.shuttle.com/download/download.asp
A word of caution - there are 3 versions using this motherboard, so choose the one to match your system. There are instructions for using Winflash or DOS to upgrade the BIOS on their site.

Re: NEED MANUAL FOR tiny GA-7ZMMP
Gigabyte GA-7ZMM manual can be found here (and will likely cover the GA-7ZMMP as well): http://www.giga-byte.com/Motherboard/Support/Manual/Manual_GA-7ZMM.htm The Tiny system would not likely come with a motherboard manual, only a system user's manual. Compare the information in the manual with your...
