Diskmanager will work but better use an Add-On UDMA Controller .
It'll cost you some bucks but it'll give you more speed out of your Hdd as your motherboard is able to get .
Because your Board has 16MB max and your HDD should be capable to do about 30-35MB/sec .

Enable Quick Power On Self test and/or press ESC to stop memory check

Reset your Bios with Clear CMos - read your manual how to do that !

Pcchips Lottery > .. Do Know .. > M559 > Biosfile > You see two Biosfiles as M559 exists with two different I/O Chips .
This chip is either from ALI or Holtek and is located on Top of the middle PCI-Slots as seen on the picture at Pcchips Lottery .

This should work ok but you have to be careful !
Check the correct orientation of your Bioschip when inserting into the socket > small notch on chip and socket have to look into the same direction
If Awardflash don't work use Uniflash

The 071595 is the date of the AMI Bios Core and not the Release date of the M598 Bios .
P.S. : Are you from Motherboards.org ?

Use the newest Bios available .
But you have to look for your Revision number of your Board .
If you have 1.1 then use the 1.x Bios .
If you have 1.1a or higher use the 2.x Bios

@A.user : I've seen Ami 8.27.24 somewhere as latest version

Remember this Board and it's SIS chipset are some years old and they have some limitations with SDRAM modules .
Maximum SDRAM module is a 128MB doublesided module(64MB per side) which may not be easy to find .

With a V3.2A you have 2.2V for a AMD K6-2 - usuable up to 400MHz or 450 if using 75MHz clock .
