Re: VAIO VGN-AR41E bios advanced mode
No. I want to formate the hdd in low level and then install Win7 instead of Vista, but Hirens Boot Disk cant find any hdd and i read i have to activate something in bios. There's no need to low-level-format the HDD. Just load up your Win7 and you get the option to choose the HDD you want to install...

Intel processor ID utility: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?ProductID=1881&DwnldID=7838&lang=eng&iid=dc_rss Download, install and run. It should show you the exact CPU type and whether it has HTT or not. Alternative: use CPU-Z. Hint: the only P4 with FSB533 and HTT is the 3.06 GHz v...

Maybe the monitor or the internal cabling is damaged, do you have an external monitor to check the graphics functionality there ?

Re: An alien motherboard? lol need help
I wouldn't hold my breath trying to find this chinese manufacturer/relabeler hoping for an improved Bios. The only OC-option you have is to manipulate the FSB (either in Bios or with jumper,if possible at all). Your current CPU runs with 100 MHz FSB (AKA FSB400) but should be capable of running with...

Please try the Bios restore with the Bios version that was installed on this board. Using a different/new version sometimes fails to fully recover a damaged Bios especially ifthe newer Bios had some changes in the Bootblock Bios.

Re: motherboard
The same motherboard should be OK, Windows may need to install some drivers again but it should work. The only problem may be if your current board has SATA drives in native mode but the new boards has them as AHCI (or vice versa) but this could be changed in Bios. Problems with swapping a motherboa...

Hmm, seems to be an OEM-board for an unknown brand. What make and model is your computer ?

Re: K6XV3+/66 jumpers doubts
If you ran the K6-2 550 with 2.8V over a longer period you may have either killed the CPU or the motherboard voltage regulators.

This Bios is based on an Award 6.00PG kernel. You should use matching modding utilities for Award 6.00PG Bios.

Please post the full Bios-ID: There should be string displaying a model number and Bios version in the upper left corner just below the AMI Logo, Press Pause to prevent it from booting.

Re: Gigabyte GA-8SR533P motherboard dead...
Please do not try to flash your Bios if the system is unstable or a memory module is suspected to be faulty. Even if you get a flashprog working it may be interrupted while flashing, killing the Bios.
Please try either known working memory modules or try each of the new ones individually.

Re: Gigabyte GA-8SR533P motherboard dead...
This kind of error is often cause by damaged RAM. Please test your system with only one module of RAM installed, you may need to test every single module. Another option would be a damaged RAM slot.
Could also be caused by a damaged CPU or motherboard but RAM causes it more often.

Re: PC bios for Rage 128
I don't think your system will be powerful enough to play youtube videos in acceptable speed, even if switching from integrated VGA to discrete VGA. CPU is very slow, probably not really lots of memory. Several older ATI Radeon should be available for cheap, look for Radeon 7200 and above.

Re: PC bios for Rage 128
Those VGA cards for MAC usually had a special MAC Bios. I don't think it's flashable.
