They add support for up to 533MHz for the 66MHz Celerons .
Not possible to run the multiplier-fixed P2-400 with 400MHz as it needs FSB100 and the Board's max is 66/68

Do you have the 12311998 file on all your sites ? > From the Wimsbios Link I see only 1209 and 1217 and the 99x one ?!?

If you want to test your program I suggest using latest official Bios for ECS P5VX-Be and the latest Servicebios . The Servicebios may have some workaround with INT13 but did recognize a Seagate 17GB with 8GB so a Maxtor 20GB . A small testprog reportet support for over 8GB . To test again I can sen...

Maybe it is possible to use an INT13 module from a newer Pentium-3 or Athlon Board to use it with the M571 .
Please only try that if you have a spare Bioschip !

It should be possible to flash the A7A266 Bios in your P5A but you have to use the DOS flashprog AFLASH . > Better use Aflash everytime and not the Liveupdate !!

P.S. : I use a P2B to flash a wide variety of Asus Bios with Aflash and no problems .

Bootblock mismatch means :
The Bootblock(Emergency Bios) stored in the Chip is different with the one from the Biosfile .
Even if the flash was succesful you'll get Bios ROM Checksum Eoor or no Boot . > Use Uniflash > Advanced Tab > Flash including Bootblock !!

If I remeber correct the TX Chipset supports 64MBit memory technolgy as maximum so biggest usable SDRAM modules PC-66/100/133 is a 128MB doublesided with 16 memory chips(8 per side)

They DO support more than 512MB of memory but somtimes you got error messages because the Win9x VCache device(HDD Cache ) has sometimes problems with more than 512MB of memory .
Solution :
Edit System.ini - Find [Vcache]
Add Line : MaxFileCache=512000
