BIOS dosent remember!!!

When I set my BIOS up to use PCI/PNP functioning, the BIOS remembers, but if i turn the computer off and leave it overnight or just for one hour, the BIOS resets it self and the PCI/PNP functioning is set to no when it should be yes. Could it be that i have a empty CMOS battery?

Okay, now i am 100% shure it is my harddrive, I took out the AMD K6-2 and left the computer to cool off for 7 hours. When the 7 hours were up, i put the Intel MMX processor and turned on the computer. I left the computer idle with no programs running for 2 hours, and when i opened up the case (while...

Looks very much like an IRQ problem - mark the IRQ required by your card as ISA (instead of PCI/PnP) in the motherboard Bios I did switch over to the ISA legacy setting, but still it does not work. But could it be the excessive heat coming from my AMD K6-2 processor? If it could have been the heat,...

I have switched back to my old Intel MMX processor (that never crashed my computer before), and the results are the same. I have used the western digital diagnostics floppy disk, and ran the exended drive test but no errors were found on the harddrive. I am thinking it may be windows XP itself. Coul...
