If the board version is 845 Pro (MS-6529 Version 1.0), I found an AMI BIOS update at this page: http://www.msi-technology.de/produkte/main_idx_view.php?Prod_id=173&Seite=BIOS Pay attention if it's the right board because with the code 845 Pro there are many versions. For this board you can download ...

Check if there are any jumpers on the board that are used for specify the appropriate settings (physically) for the processors (such as voltage, frequency, and so on...) You should find all jumpers position in the manual of the board. If the board is jumper-free you can only try to clear CMOS, after...

The powered connection to the board seems to be ok... this is the electronic engineer's bug... ah, ah... Ok, I'll be serious: do you think, at this point, that it's the case of buying a new CMOS chip or changing all (motherboard and processor)? I have no new idea for trying something on this motherb...

All the settings! The other settings go automatically to the default value: for example the boot sequence goes on A: as the first device and C: as the second device. The HDD settings go all on NONE. I suspect a fault, but I try to ask if someone has got a different idea to solve my problem (such as ...

Ok, I replaced the battery with a new one, this one is soldered with tin to the electrical contacts. This is an old motherboard model without the battery plug and the battery form like a cookie. I also tried with an external battery as shown in the manual, but the problem isn't the battery! Anyone h...

Ok boys, I flashed my bios, but the problem isn't solved: my BIOS doesn't remember the settings for the HD (auto, manual, large HD, small HD, with the old BIOS version W975, with the new BIOS version W976). There is only a case that BIOS remember the settings AUTO: when I clear the CMOS keeping clos...

I don't understand how is the clip, however try to use plastic strings, like those electricians use to keep the electric cable all together: those that have a plastic jumper that don't permit to open once closed: you need to cut with a cutter if you would to open. You can use those strings without e...

Another thing that you could do is: look if it's possible to add memory IC's on the board: more boards have free memory chip sockets that you can fill with the appropriate chip so you can extend the total of video memory. In this case I think it's possible use a refresh rate higher than 43hz at 1024...
