Other things to try in desparation: - Try pressing the F1 key after the beeps and see if that results in any diskette activity - Check that the CMOS battery voltage is OK. Pressing the F1 key made the 2nd lot of beeps repeat. the battery is ok. i think im up for a new mobo. :( i don't know of anywh...

GA-6VXE7+ DEAD???
unfortuantly this hasen't worked. i have changed the the cmos jumper and put it back and there is no difference. my system still won't boot. i have discovered that the 1st set of beeps means that the is a problem with the video card, but i have 2 vga cards and they are both working in other machines...

GA-6VXE7+ DEAD???
I have done a bios update on the above mentioned mobo, but my pc will not boot. when powered up, there is 2 or 3 short beeps followed by a long one. After that nothing happens. I have heard from a friend that if i remove the bios chip from the board, that it will be reset to default, and that everyt...
