Hi All,
Would you please help to patch the bios for wide screen support (1440*900 and 1680*1050). Many thanks.

Please refer to the latest bios below.

Download and install the latest Bios Asrock offers. It should have built-in support for 1440x900 resolution (see release notes on the 2.50 Bios).

Hi Denniss,
Thanks for the information.
It would be great if the board can support 1680*1050 as I am considering for 22" monitor. I want to try a patched bios with vbios 2.49.00 or 2.51.00.

Better get a decent/cheap add-in AGP VGA card for a monitor with a resolution that high: the higher the resolution the lower the image quality of OnBoard VGA. And with a decent VGA you'll be able to use DVI to connect your monitor. Also the system performance will imaprove as the memory bandwidth has not to be shared between VGA and CPU.

There are lot of Nvidia AGP VGA around starting with GeforceFX, 6xx and 7xx series for very low prices, ATI has also several cheap AGP cards like 9550 or the 9600 series.
I recently upgraded an office machine with a 16MB Matrox G400 to replace an OnBoard VGA in an Asrock K7S41 series board (quality was really low already in 1024x768) .
