my bios is v136d.bin that one worked perfect but would not recognise the 40 gig hard drive. i then switch to v143d found in orphan laptops, it still does not recognise the 40 gig hard drive and the display somehow moved 1/4 of an inch to the left, but its barely noticeable; other than that that bios...

can anybody help me? i have an ams tech 2570cx same as the chicony mp983 and my bios cannot recognise the 40gig hd i just bought, i can probably use this laptop for a few more years if any one knows how to edit the bios so it will take this hard drive, right now it just hangs when i install the 40 g...
