Hi,

I know this discussion already appeared here, but I sent an update request without getting answer, so I am trying again...

I have the same configuration, but I do not care about not using internal panel anymore as it is dead already. Here is the link to my BIOS
ftp://ftp.work.acer-euro.com/notebook/3a32.zip. Please patch my bios to enable 1440x900 mode.

MANY MANY MANY THANKS!

Thank you for the response. I have the latest SIS drivers already installed. Only way to make this work is to have BIOS upgraded. Unfortunatelly I can not find a copy for my Acer Aspire 3000 in your download section. Please see the link to latest available BIOS in my first message.

Cheers,

Jaro.

if i'd patch the bios with the latest video bios, your main-lcd wouldn't display anything at all. i hope you're aware of this.

It is absolutely OK for me as my internal LCD panel is dead already and I use the notebook just as a table PC.

I appreciate your help a lot!

Most likely he's already at it, please realize we are all volunteers in here with a regular day job and family life. Allow for some time to get this right.

It would be great if you managed to patch the bios as this looks like our only chance to make it working. Once again, many thanks for yout time!

I succesfully updated the Phoenix BIOS, with the SIS VBIOS version 2.49. My Acer Aspire 3000 (3003LM) now display native 1440 x 900 resolution on attached widescreen Samsung SyncMaster 920NW. :D
