add 1440x900 in K8VM-MX

Hi! In advance еxcuse for the bad English. I have MB ASUS K8VM-MX with the integrated video card S3Unichrome pro, which doesn't support widescrin resolutions. Whether probably having updated a BIOS and \or the video card driver to solve the given problem. If yes - that as. Can replace videobios with another similar MB? And if it is possible - more in detail.

VIA/S3 and Asus are not bothered by the fact this onboard chip does not support 1440x900 because it is already old and they cannot make money out of it.

You have 2 options

1) run Linux instead of windows
2) buy a separate graphics card that does support this resolution.

And how with the account to replace videobios? What exist МВ with kernel К8М800, AMIBIOS and support resolution 1440х800?

Yes, but on all MB Abit BIOS by AWARD. I don't think that the problem can be solved simple changeover of it videobios.Here if AMIBIOS...

I think the videobios should work regardless of what flavour main system bios is used.

What if this thing was put on a separate videocard?
