Tried installing a new PCI-E graphics card but it is not working, think problem is m/board only supports PCI-E ver 1.0a, someone has suggested that an updated Bios may fix this? Is this correct?

If so can someone please point me in the right direction for a new bios.

details of scan here, think bios has already been updated by original owner as its showing as a philips freeline but it is a medion Advent T11.
