I downloaded the update for 1011c-002.zip file but I can't unzip it with winxp. It says the 'file skipped unknown compression method' and can't unzip it.
When I try to use asusupdate v7.13.05 and load the image from a file (using the zip file) it fails saying 'the file size of the BIOS image is incorrect'.
Is the file ok and my technique at fault or the image faulty?

Thanks for the info CP.
Used 7zip and was able to extract the file. Tried asusupdate again and this time the error message says "unable to read BIOS image".

The firmware is available in the Sticky 'All SIS IGP issues: READ THIS FIRST', located at the top of the page 'Video (VGA) and other BIOS/Firmware'. Look at the first article by CP and in step 3 select the download page link.
The firmware I am trying to use is for the 'Asus P4S800MX' with filename 1011c-002.zip
Hope you can help.

I have downloaded the BIOS file (1011C.002). However, I don't have a floppy drive on my Windows XP so I can't run the bios flash program. Can anyone help me on how I can flash this new BIOS update without an A:\? Thanks.
If you email me include [WIMSBIOS] in the subject.
I have flashed the BIOS and I can switch to 1680 x 1050. However, whenever I restart the computer, XP will switch the resolution and I have to manually switch it back to 1680 x 1050. Anyone has encountered the same problem? How can I fix it?

Deinstall your current VGA drivers and reboot. Now install the latest drivers and try again.
