I have an old intel mb, and I don't see where can I set up the cd rom, they just show entries fro hard disk. I tried to update the bios but the version I found on intel site was bulit on 1995.
The CDROM doesn't require setting up in BIOS. The OS is in charge of this.
The only draw back of lack of BIOS support is usually the missing CDROM boot feature.
Yes! Cdrom doesn't need to be setup,but in most INTEL motherboard,if the cdrom is the ONLY device at secondory channel, you MUST set it to MASTER, NOT SALVE or CABLE SELECT!
