I purchased 4 Rackable servers with Intel SE7501CW2 motherboards (all with dual quad core Xeon processors). I need dual monitor support for my application(s) however the m/b will only allow the use of the onboard Rage 8mb video or when disabled in BIOS use of alternate PCI display card. Bios is supposed to disable the onboard video when it recognizes another video card in the PCI slot... so far all it is doing is giving me an on-screen error warning then continues booting and display properties is not recognizing the second video card.
I want to use the onboard Rage 8mb video and an additional Rage 8mb PCI card for dual displays...
Does anyone know how to mod the Phoenix BIOS to accomplish this?
or any other way around this problem?
Thanks

buy an add-in card with dual-display. and set the primary display adapter to PCI in the BIOS.

Sometimes the problem is not that big, the only thing we need is to think and use our common sense. And after that, we are going to fix a problem on our own.
