the bios is recent enough. so it is not the source of your problem. uninstall the driver and install the latest version from the SIS site. check for the links here:

my mother board K8s-MX bios version 1019.001
SiS vga verion 3.84.
As discussed earlier screen scrolling issue is haunting me.i have LG wide screen 19'' flatron lcd.The lcd screen gives correct resolution on any other systems or if i use a gfx card on my system but with my onboard sis 760 its giving me virtual 1440x900 but actually my lcd shows 1024x768.
In fact any resolution >1024x768 will give a signal of 1024x768 @75hz (75 hz cause a little blur which all of ppl like me have noticed on lcd's)

Thus at any greater resoluton than 1024 it makes a virtual viewing area and have to scroll but in reality its 1024x768 only.

1)checked my signal cable; fine no leakage of signal working fine on other systems.

2)installed latest univga drivers for sis, bios for my mbo and drivers for my lcd== no help still scrolling.

3)final conclusion form me: -SiS 760 has not been tunned properly with northbridge of k8s-mx so at the analog VGA port its not detecting feedback signal from lcd monitor like a good VGA port must do.
The windows displays a huge list of resolution supported by m760 chip but the Micro controller isnt giving up the right resolutions in acc/ to the drivers.

my vid bios info is 2.51.00.
The resolution option is coming but the screen area isnt fitting into the LCD properly i.e i have to scroll.
example when i take a screen shot at resolution of 1440x900 the correct resolution picture is displayed but when i view my desktop area it keeps on scrolling to the sides, signal is not proper to the monitor and the monitor osd shows its as 1024x768.

CP where can i find ur email address so as to send u some screen shots.

yes i removed them using the uninstaller given in control panel.(add/remove SIS vga utilities)

Thanks thanks--- i got the the proper resolution even at 32 bit also.

i did uninstall all the previous drivers /utilities for SIS and nvidia geforce drivers also (although card not installed at present)...then installed the drivers using microsoft hardware manager and not by SIS installer package (which i was doing earlier).
:D :D :D thanks very much for ur efforts CP. :)
