Hi all,

I have SIS 630 video adapter in my portable with 8MB shared memory.
Since this is no good for playing games, I was wondering if I can upgrade this. I've done some research and found that you normally can change
this setting (amout of RAM) in the BIOS. However, in my case, it is
fixed in the BIOS, so I can't change this. Does anyone have a clew/idea/sollution on how to unlock this option in the BIOS ?
or do I need to flash it ? thanks in advance for your problem-solving
replies! Regards & thanks again, yowan kenobi

Regardless of how much ram is allocated, the SIS 630 video isn't going to be any good for games. If you recall, SiS cheated with the 630 drivers in order to inflate benchmark scores.
Flash your BIOS at your own risk.
