Hi, I can't find the exact mb in the download list, it's the Packard Bell Columbia 5 (not 5P) NF5, GA-8SIMLNF Rev2.0, I've been trying to get the SiS651 to display @ 1440x900 on an Acer AL1916W and really don't want to spend out on an AGP card as it's a free build.

MB Bios and VGA drivers are both the latest, monitor inf is up to date.

I need to know if I can use one of the patched bios's in the download page and also an idiots guide to flashing it as there doesn't seem to be a utility included (like the Packard Bell one that created a CD), just a .bin file?

Thanks in advance.

patched and available from our download site. i will not create anything except patched BIOS-binaries, so don't bother asking for a flash-cd/-disk/-stick/-image/-whatever. use a recent amiflash to update the bios.
please report back with the results.
If you email me include [WIMSBIOS] in the subject.

Thanks a lot for your time doing the patched bios for me, after around 7 hrs of trying and around 20 coasters, I cannot get a single bios flash utility to work apart from this one http://support.packardbell.co.uk/uk/ite ... 9953620502 which has an old bios file embedded into it so no dice
