Well basically I "unlocked" the disabled features in the bios, including ram timing, LDT timing or lightning data transfer, and everything else you could think of that is in there.

In that case it might be a good idea. We'll have to release it as an unsupported bios for advanced users, which will void waranty and one needs to give instructions on how to restore things to default values in case you do something wrong...

I just realized that my USB 2.0 ports are now being seen as USB 1.1 ports after having installed the 3.14 BIOS. Is there a fix to this?

I tried to ask HP for a solution but all they had to say was to install the 3.13 BIOS update.

Hello! I have long been looking for a solution to random lockup problems on my sr1710nx machine.

I am currently using the 3.13 BIOS and the lockups happen regardless of OS installed, tried multiple flavors of linux and windows and am currently using XP Pro x64 which seems to run about as well as XP 32bit flavors in terms of the lock up issues.

I have had no issues finding device drivers and all my stuff works under XP x64, including my PCI wlan card.

Edwin: Could you please send me the 3.14 BIOS version?

Thanks a lot!

Delete all USB ports in device manager and reboot, let windows detect them again. Should work.

I have already tried that, but before i can remove them all, Windows reinstalls them.

Here is a picture of my USB ports in the device manager.

Which is what it should look like since not all ports are 2.0 see the specs of your machine.
