Thank you very much WIM'S BIOS and in particular this piece of information: http://www.wimsbios.com/faq/howtorecove ... ptbios.jsp From this, I was able to re-flash my BIOS and restore my PC to full working order, in one day, no need for a replacement chip, after a failed BIOS upgrade.
