Hello, I just recieved my Xtasy 5564 Geforce 2 MX400 64meg PCI Video Card, and when it is in my computer I get no display at all. My monitor is a Samsung 753DF if that might have to do with anything. My motherboard is a PC100 m598 with AMIBIOS, i think v 1.1. I'm running Windows XP Pro. 550MHZ, 256RAM, 13 GIG, and my current video card is a Voodoo3 2000 PCI. When the xtasy is in the computer and I try to start it, I get no display at all from my monitor, but when I put my Voodoo back in, everything works perfectly. I have tried the new card in all three PCI slots on my motherboard, all with the same results. There is nothing wrong with the Xtasy, either... I tested it on my other computer (700MHZ Celeron) and it worked like a charm . Someone please help, for I am no Computer expert... just an amateur.

Did you set your video to standard VGA and test it before deleting the old drivers, removing the old card and installing the new card?

1) set to std vga, reboot and test
2) uninstall the old video drivers, reboot and test
3) delete the card in the device manager (if it still there), reboot and test
4) shut down and remove the card, reboot and test
5) shutdown and install the new card
6) check bios for proper setup - pci first/agp first etc
7) reboot and see Winblows finds new hardware

Maybe a bit over kill but you do what you think is best.

i have a similar problem
i cant disable my onboard card
i have the m754lmr pcchips with an onboard tnt2
i bought a pci card and when i installed it, it won't boot up!
i've tried everything, from bios settings, to deleting drivers, but the damn thing still uses the onboard pos!
i heard that you can disable it by jumpers, but after reading the manual, it says NOTHING about vga jumpers, it has sound, lan, modem, etc, but no frecking vga!
anyone have a clue to what jumper it is? and what to do with it?
all help will be appreciated alot!!!!!

Should I clear CMOS Memory and then install the card? Would that do anything? I deleted the VOODOO3 from my system entirely. since I'm running Windows XP, it reinstalled the drivers when I re-booted. I even tried starting my computer with the hard drive unplugged. The motherboard was still well aware that I was running a 3Dfx Voodoo3 200 PCI with 16 meg memory. Maybe I should try unplugging the HDD AND resetting the CMOS memory, then putting in the new card and seeing if my hard drive IS the root of my problems? If this still won't work, then I don't know what to do.

On an unrelated topic: What happens when you raise CPU Core Voltage. Mine is set at 2.3v at 550MHZ. Is it possible to overclock by doing this? Is it dangerous, risky?

Thanks again, everyone! :)

GeForce cards are known not to work with many PC Chips boards.

well, you wouldn't happen to know which jumper is to diable the vga would you? or anyone for that matter :(

Look in the manual! If the jumper is not shown there, then there is no such jumper. Try ATI Radeon instead of the GeForfce.

well, the manual shows jumpers 1-9
and says any extra jumpers are for testing
however, the manual didn't label all jumpers 1-9
so, i was just thinking that maybe an unlabeled jumper might disable the onboard vga and that someone might know which one :\
anyone got their geforces to work? if so, how! i would _really_ like to know!
