I have am Award bios id 11/24/1999-aladdin5-2akktj9c-oo
chipset ALi M1541 rev 4
oem signon ms 6261 v 1.4

This is a totem motherboard and cannot understand the totem page don't know if the battery is good put in a Duracel dl2032 there was a toshiba cr 2032 in it. If anyone can help please do.

Go into Bios - load Setup or Performance Defaults and save/exit
Should be fine now unles the new battery is empty or some contact problems in the battery socket

Have already tried that did not work. Get message every shutdown.

I'd check the battery again...you sure you put it in the right way??

The motherboard traces could be open as well, but highly doubtful if this board has worked in the past...
