unable to determine access key(s) to get into bios

:roll: A client brought his home pc to submit to our standards and work from home. Turns out it was built by who knows. I cannot find entranceinto the bios to make it boot from cdrom for install of 2000.
It says AMIBIOS 12/12/2000 on the screen but goes no further after identifying memory hd etc..No documentation..I have tried delete.f2etc..
Can anyone help.

You don't mention having tried to Clear CMOS... have you?

Thanks for the reply....Cmos would that be taking the battery out and relacing it???
I have never worked with this before it brings to mind ...time/date.

There's usually a jumper to Clear CMOS.

taking the battery out would also work.

Don't forget to unplug the power cord to ensure CMOS clear.

Thanks for the suggestions...I was here late and do to time restraints.
loaded win98 se and then did a complete install from win2000 including
changing to ntfs..It seems to be going well.
I am glad I found this site(by accident) be talking to you and thanks again.
