I'm newbie and i can't solve problem I have. The PC isn't recognizing a AC'97-sound integrated into a motherboard since i used some software to take a password (which i forgot) off the bios. I've tried every single way to make the sound card work but I can't make it. Please tell me is it possible that this problem caused that soft i used? and please also tell me how to make the sound work(I was wondering if upgrading the bios would help)
Thanx

The motherboard manual explains how.
There's usually a jumper on the mobo that says CLR_CMOS (or similar).

one more question. will the cmos clearing change bios set up to default or I'll have to set it up on my own.

Default values, but they're usually failproof.

never mind. I tried it but it didn't work. I also tried to set bios options up as in motherboard manual and I noticed that in manual Ac97 should be enabled but there's no enabled option. there are only auto and disabled
Any other advices?

So now you have proper access to BIOS? "Auto" should suffice as enabled.
What's your mobo? You may be using the wrong driver-set.

Yes I have proper acces now. It should but it isn't (I think so). My motherboard is Amax MAX-V11
