Mouse Problem

I recently posted on another forum about how my mouse would stop working for several seconds all the time. I was using a usb port for the mouse. Then it was suggested that I use a ps/2 adapter. So I put an old adapter on that I had around the house. It fixed that problem, however a new problem came about. My sensitivity would go really high and the cursor would jet all across the screen, selecting things, etc. I would have to replug it in and it would be fixed.. until next time. Then i reported this new problem and was told i might need to update my BIOS.

So now my question, is this a problem that updating BIOS can fix. Or, are there any other suggestions that could help before i would have to try a BIOS update. thanks

Thanks, maybe this is just what i need. However, the last handful of mice that ive had ever since the first one that came with my computer, have all done this stuff.

Tell us about your mobo then... Who knows, perhaps a BIOS update might help...
