I recently took posession of a bag of proms ranging from 27c256 through
to 39sf020 in dip package, & about 20 plcc late chips...
I usually erase chips before storing them but got to wondering if
perhaps any of the roms on them might be sought after,
there's about 8 x 486 eproms the rest are 586\686...
I can pull the roms with a programmer before erasing them, any takers.?

EDIT:
I just saved the 386\486 bios's before erasing the chips..
One of them is a Mr_Bios rom..
The strings are as such

Can't find a string in the Mr_Bios rom, the chip has Hippo-DCA1 V1.1
written on it...

Any takers.

Just sent them to you...
Iknew there were people here who collected them which is why I
saved them...

I saved a 486 bios from an old Tomato board some years ago &
found a link to this sight that said it was a sought after bios, I originally
emailed the person who was asking for it & got no reply for some 8 months
before eventually losing the drive with my rom collection on it..

Received them in good order. If you come across more of those old beauties you know where to send them now...

Saved & sent some more 386 Bios's..

This one below seems an odd one, I couldn't find any part of
it's string on the net...

31-0100-001204-0010111-121291-MXIC-F

This was what was shown on bootup...

001204 points to bestekcomputer ltd and that is about all we know about it. So maybe it will give up an OEM string so we can at long last list a model number for them...

Haven't seen the email yet though
