80GB HDD to an analyzer

BIOS Date: 09/04/01
BIOS Type: Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG
BIOS ID: 09/04/01-i430TX-67X-2A59IED4C-00
BIOS Eval: ???
Chipset: Intel FW82439TX (i430TX), FW82371EB (PIIX4E)
Display: S3 86C260
Superio: SMSC FDC37C672
+ Intersil CS82C54 Programmable Intervel Timer and CS82C55a Programmable Peripheral Interface

The chipset is in a measurement analyzer manufactured by Rohde & Schwartz and I need to get it supporting 80GB hard disk (smallest I found). Now the system freeze when the bios tries to detect the HDD. Unfortunately I am not able to run Unicore Bios Agent in the system (running on NT4 SP5). It seems to open the browser and then nothing happens (waits some for update for ever).

The Bios is attached (I can e-mail it also directly).

Mail me the Bios and I'll have a look at it.

Sorry for my ignorance, but where can I find you e-mail adress? Can I use wb@wimsbios.com?

I tried tu use the 'upload attachement' tab, but I get a comment 'extension bin is not allowed'

been out of the forums for a while, do you still want this to be fixed? if so, send it to edwin@wimsbios.com or to elhvb@hotmail.com, the other option is compressing the file to a .zip and attaching it like that.

Hi Edwin

Thanks for your kind query - Denniss patched the bios already so it is taken care of.
