Hello i just blow up my tbird 1400 and now i'm stuck with a PII and a mobo that dont suport my 40 gb WD hd ata100!
So.... can u help me out? well.... it's kinda frustating to have a cable 640kb conection and be stuck with a 1,5 gb drive :wink:

It's Atrend BX-440B board. Patched BIOS sent.

tks Rainbow !!! and if will work.... well if dont post nothing in the next nine days it's because i just killed my mobo! :wink:
By the way... wath is the mobo killed percentage by this patchs sent here by u ppl!
its just a curiosity of me!

No killed boards so far - the biggest problem can be non-working HDD support (you have to boot from floppy and reflash a working BIOS).

well! i just tried to flash it and it sayas its the wrong bios! Checsum error i think! i'm using awdflash7.xx since i canot find de 4.51 ! and as explained in the utilities page i should use, for older vesions the 4.50 version!
Culd be this the problem?
Can u send me the 4.50 version?

It refuses to flash because the BIOS ID string is changed a bit:
09/23/98-i440BX-W977TF-BX-440B
05/25/1999-i440BX-W977TF-BX-440B-VH

Get another version of Awdflash that will allow you to continue or try UniFlash.
