MSI board. www.msi.com.tw
Its model number should be silkscreened on it.

Anyway, with a BIOS as recent as yours, support for large HDDs must be there. Try to enter the HDD parameters manually in BIOS.

I'm just saying that an AMI BIOS of 5/2000 "should" have large HDD support (perhaps even larger than 64MB). But if you still have problems, I pointed out how to identify your MSI board model, so you could proceed with the flash update.

Should I upgrade to p2.9 bios at the msi site or can I live my computer with my current bios?
Is there anyway to solve my problem coz I kind of new in this stuff and I don't want to take risks

You still haven't told as what you've identified your mobo as...

If you don't provide any info, you won't (can't) get any help.

The latest official BIOS I could find for V1.2 is 2.9. This does not support large disks. A patched version which you can test is posted at the URL in my signature.
Remember:
- you flash at your own risk
- read and follow the flash utility instructions.
- please let us know how you got on via the Wim's BIOS forum.
- you may need to run the HDD manufacturer's utility to reduce the transfer rate of a UDMA66 or UDMA100 drive to UDMA33. See the post "links to ATA mode setting utilities" in the "Collected Wisdom" forum.

What's your Bios revision number ?
You should see a A6119V1.3 or similar message on the same screen with the Bios-ID you posted but in the upper left corner .
Is your MS-6119 installed in a Fujitsu-Siemens or Maxdata or other manufacturer's PC ?

1.3 is the last AMI BIOS posted on the site and is dated 1999-3-24. If yours is dated 20/05/00 and is version 1.95 then it looks as though it has been provided by someone else - OEM ? Hence Denniss's questions.

MSI provided both AMI and Award BIOSes and there seem to have been more updates for the Award BIOS - maybe not so well written :? The latest Award BIOS is a few months later, but AMI didn't have the "32GB bug" (they did have some other restrictions which caused problems with big disks from time to time). I've patched the latest Award version but that doesn't mean it will be better than yours.

Seems the AMI Bios from MSI is for chinese language so this Bios should come from a system manufacturer .
