mobo hangs with the 40gb, sure you've heard it before ;p
it's a C3 motherbord (Chaintech), and I cant find the correct bios for the mobo, if you could help, I'd be very gratefull
Chipset I430TX
brand: Chaintech
model: 2A59I
type 9C-00
if anyone has the bios or can patch it orso, would be great :O

Chaintech boards are usually "labelled". You should check:
a) any markings on the motherboard
b) the bios chip (look for a model number on the sticker, if any).

That should be 5TTM1 (OR NOT

I saw that you ""patched" biosses in other threads? is that needed for this one? (40 gig support)
if so, could you please do that? It would help installing computer @ parents ;p

OK, found that it's 5TTM0 (
http://www.chaintech.com.tw/support/bios.htm). Patched BIOS sent.
