It's FIC PAG-2130 board. There are more versions - what's printed on the board? And what's displayed during POST under the Award Modular Bios... strings (something like Version SA4124)?

On the motherboard is PAG-2130
At startup it say: Everex Systems, Inc version SB4118E
Award plug n play extension v1.0A
I flashed my bios with the lastest version SB413, but no change in hard drive situation. Any suggestions from here?

Hard drive isn't recognized

I have several friends that have PC's that are a couple of years old, and they want to put large (80GB) in their machines.

I have resorted to adding a PCI to Ultra DMA/ATA 133 disk accelerator card to their PC's.

These cards have their own onboard bios, and will let your PC accept the larger drives.

I use Highpoint cards.

For what it's worth it might be worth a try.

Nick,

I have the identical issue, i.e. same board exactly (in a Time PC) and an 80GB hard disk. May I request a copy of the patched SB413 BIOS file to support the above drive please?
